China has no political appointees; all officials are professional career bureaucrats. Therefore, unlike in the United States, there is no situation in China where political appointees backed by big capitalists lead and direct the work of expert civil servants.

In China, the gov't controls the capitalists while in the US, capitalists control the gov't. In China, collective good is preferred over individual freedoms, in the US, individual freedom is more important than collective good, hence schoo/mass shootings. In China, gov't owns major companies and income is used to build infrastructure and fund schools and healthcare. In the US, capitalists own everything and billionaires use income to buy luxury yachts, islands, etc and not pay taxes, that's why until now, the US has crumbling infrastructure and no high speed trains.

These kinds of rumors come up every year. Without fail they can always be traced back to that one deranged cult in the US. The funniest one I remember is they were saying Xi was going to be overthrown at the 20th congress in 2022. When that didn't happen they just go right back to making up more rumors. Like Gordon Chang with his "China collapse" predictions. Also, I actually heard it was Wen Jiabao & Wang Yang that's actually running the country now. So they can't seem to get a consensus on who's actually running China right now. 😂

Americans live in a failing system with no safety nets, so they feel the need to keep up with their politics. In China this situation is reversed, and so the behaviour is the opposite, the people are secure and so they don't have anxiety about such things.
