I'd never heard of it before until i came across the page of a lovely speech therapist on here called sinead speech, if you get a chance have a look through her videos as she explains it so well and gives so many tips and if you manage to catch one of her lives she answers everyone's questions. I think she has a parents guide to gestalt course aswell

My grandson is autistic and was non verbal until we realised he was a gestalt learner he speaks so much more now it’s insane when u learn how they learn x good luck x

my autistic step daughter does this, she repeats what she hears off her programmes usually ben and holly and peppa pig. but she wont have conversations with us.

it's German. it's pronounced Gah-shtalt. neurotypical people use Gestalt to learn some things by using repetition. learning to drive, times tables, conjugation of verbs in other languages, etc. it's basically called learning "parrot fashion". i did a proper deep dive into GLP when I realised all 3 of my autistic kids do this. look at a website called Meaningful Speech. there are some great resources & webinars.

my sons speech and language put me on a course through our council and now my son is pre verbal, still struggle with communication but he can now say alot more words

my son is the same gestalt, dont hear his voice other than screaming 😂 got a empty kitchen roll tube and spoke in it and he copied !! hes getting a microphone for his birthday if i sing to him or change his nursery rhymes he likes so like sausage roll sausage roll where are you here I am here I am he most definitely understands and relates back... madness I know but it works 😆
