this is every game no matter the value of the deck. People do use fun decks but at challenges, cups and anything with a more serious tone people will play the best because there is more on the line.

Tbh I do think this is a bit of a skill issue with the fact that almost every card is accessible meaning that you aren’t limited at all with deck building. Your point that everyone plays meta really only applies to higher forms of play with my locals having many rouge decks and in a few cases too many rouge decks with lycanrock wining today at locals
