@dailyideasguy: 🚿 They’re creating ads with water — and it’s totally legal in most cities. This guerrilla marketing technique uses pressurized water and a stencil to clean dirty sidewalks into logos or messages — no paint, no ink, just grime removal. First developed in the 90s by Paul “Moose” Curtis, brands like Nike, BMW, and Domino’s have used it to stop people in their tracks. Low-cost. Eco-friendly. And seriously satisfying to watch. — 🎯 I share clever product and business ideas from around the world. not legal in most cities actually, you would have to get permission for advertising in a shared public space

in Germany a old man was sued by the city because he cleaned a street sign. The sign was so dirty you could barely see it. 💀

It changes the appearance of the property
Even with just water, you’re intentionally creating words or images. The law sees that as defacing or altering property, not normal cleaning.

when i see a big company doing this it just reminds me that they have the means to help clean the local area, just not the desire

In Germany Even this is forbidden, as it changes the appearance of a „thing“. Penalties are the same as for real graffiti’s. Welcome to Germany….

Fun fact, there is a technique that instantly takes annoying ad billboards down: all you gotta do is bring a big stamp that says canceled, or discontinued, the more stamps, the more quickly it comes down

It's not "technically" cleaning. It's graphic advertising. Not okay.
