I went to Uni in Brighton, lived there for 4 years, some of the best times of my life there. I keep trying to convince my husband to moves us down there. It’s so inclusive, kid + dog friendly everywhere. Plus so much to do, all year round. It’s expensive so maybe look more towards Hove but Hove is beautiful too, more of a village/community feel than the city vibes of Brighton. Food options and restaurants are amazing as are the variety of shops from chains to independents.

Brighton is great fun!. come up the Hove side there's more going on. Brighton centre is the tourist/studenty/labour party conference bit. usually a good band playing up our end🙂

I live in Brighton and have done for decades. Tbh all the good things youve mentioned you’ll find in many other seaside towns and you won’t have the rental market quite as bad or lack of local jobs. Check out Kent (Whitstable, Margate), Bournemouth, Eastbourne and Hastings. I love London but it is less friendly just as it’s sooo busy and transient.
