I think it comes down to the stone itself.. if we’re talking about one of a kind diamonds, I’m all for natural. But for tennis bracelets and such, I think lab diamonds are the better alternative

Your pieces are so beautiful and unique 😍Thankyou so much for thinking about a different perspective , many people won't consider a different view. I won't even say that you were wrong, we operate based on what you know and the rhetoric sold against mined is very compelling. Until I spoke with people where ethical mining was a factor or read stories reclaiming the narrative or watched how botswanas attempt to take more stake in the game has been affected by lab grown, i wouldn't have known the totality either. one thing about being this industry? we learn every single day. It is crazy how a trades practices and safety can vary so vastly based on region but hopefully if we all demand more from our wholesalers and dealers and the big companies, we can get workers and gem countries the autonomy they deserve! thankyou again. definitely a place for both as long as clearly explained❤️thankyou again.

I’m new to this industry too and SO torn on this topic! It’s been so hard to navigate. I’m taking in so much information from many different sources and both sides have such solid arguments. I think it’s maybe just a truly opinion based thing? But as an aspiring professional, it’s hard to figure out what stance to take!

Really appreciate your honesty here 💎 it’s refreshing to hear a jeweler acknowledge that lab diamonds also carry environmental costs. Natural diamonds can absolutely be sourced responsibly, and when they are, they not only last forever but also support real communities.
