Filipino Martial Artist Breaks Down how to mix Frodo’s Sting with Pekiti-Tirsia Kali 🗡️🗡️🗡️ #scenicfights #martialarts #lordoftherings #lotr #filipinomartialarts 🎥 These movie clips are from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) ⚠️ Disclaimer: The techniques shown in this video are demonstrated for educational and entertainment purposes only. Do not attempt to replicate these moves, as they may be dangerous without proper training and supervision. 📜 History: Sting is a famed Elven short sword forged in the lost city of Gondolin during the First Age. Though small by Elven standards, it was perfectly sized for Hobbits. Bilbo Baggins discovered Sting in a troll hoard during The Hobbit, alongside the swords Glamdring and Orcrist. He named it after using it to slay a giant spider in Mirkwood, and it became his trusted companion throughout his adventures. Later, Bilbo passed Sting to Frodo Baggins before the Fellowship set out from Rivendell. Sting glowed blue in the presence of Orcs, a feature that proved invaluable during Frodo’s perilous journey to Mordor. Samwise Gamgee notably wielded it against Shelob, showcasing its effectiveness even against ancient evils. After the War of the Ring, Sting may have remained with Sam or passed down as an heirloom. Pekiti-Tirsia Kali is a Filipino martial art founded in 1897 by the Tortal family, with its lineage tracing back at least four generations. It was developed as a combat-oriented system focused on edged weapons, close-quarters tactics, and offensive counter-offensive principles. The art emphasizes circular and triangular movements inspired by celestial patterns, and its techniques are rooted in the traditional blade culture of the Philippines.
