Our start time got moved to 9. a grievance was filed for the city and now it's back at 8 and we are getting compensated for the time difference for the duration. it is the second time we've won this same type of grievance in the past 3 years...

The office time has always been a BS figure for my 31 years. It is an arbitrary figure that has no real affect on your total time for the day. Do your job at your own pace, and don't play their games.

9 am but we are the only city that gets paid for any time after 5, so we grieve and get an extra bump up. this was due to one of our female carriers being murdered while working after 5. all this is to try and validate mgmt jobs, auditors, etc. we used to start 730, 8, 830, now 9.

once you move the start times later...almost impossible to move them back ever!!! pass. "I didn't see that email"..also im not punishing the employees, they usually make it up and we stay off the "lists"... no one wants to start later...no one I know anyway.

They're trying to squeeze you to be consistently at 60 minutes in the office, then they'll start telling you your street time is only 6.5 hours... leaving you with 30 minutes of undertime. They did that our office over the last year. It's management trying to squeeze time, cut hours, and save on payroll.
They also threatened us with moving the office time. They can't do it, unless there is an actual business need. Not adhering to their 60 minutes is not a business need. 60 minutes is not agreed upon by the union. If they change you... grieve it.

Our start time is 7:30… Grievance, according to the nalc and m39 at least 80% of the carriers mail should be available. It ensures we have sufficient mail to start the day. If it is changed I’ve heard the carriers should be paid out of schedule pay, but that was never requested in my office for me to know for sure.

They want to shorten Office time by 20 mins so they can lengthen your street time by adding a relay to your rt

Remember, there’s no street standard so when you clock over the street you’re on your time so if you’re still outside loading your truck and you’re on street time there’s no standard

Insufficient Address :
It’s because the plant and EPED can’t get the mail/parcels early enough. Management has to have at least 70%of mail to you prior to you coming in, problem though isn’t the mail, it’s high parcel volumes and you carriers ready to go but don’t pull down because waiting on parcels.

Don’t worry about your coworkers performance. Whatever you believe about their office times is probably wrong. Management loves to create false drama.

they want to be able to make route adjustments. they can't add to your route it you stationary time on the dock or extended office time. We have the same issue at our station. 18 dock spaces and 75 routes. the staggering time ended today. new start is 8:30 for everyone. which only makes the situation worse.

Every station is different. Sometimes they are pushing us to clock out on streets as soon is possible. They don’t want see you walk in inside if they have see you already pulled down. But what make me so mad if that they only tell the carrier that doesn’t have so much seniority. I have some co workers that they are eating breakfast or lunch in the station and the supervisor having a nice conversation with them and he never tell them to clock on the street. Why? They have too much preference for others,
