We did a 250 person wedding for less than $10k. I will say that it means you have to settle for doing DIY and not doing services like plated dinners.

Unironically you can get make wedddings cheaper by not telling vendors or catering companies it’s for a wedding. Just say it’s for a church event for 300 ppl instead

Elope! Trust me, it’s not worth the money. Take that money and put a down payment on a piece of real estate. $50,000 can be spent in way better ways.

For NYC prices this is so real 😭 we just did a breakdown on our page on how you could a $50,000 wedding for 125 guests in NYC and it requires a lot of discipline, the off season, and picking non traditional venues!

300 people is SO MANY PEOPLE! There are no right or wrong budgets, just guest counts! As if it is a requirement to have a plated dinner for 300! Do not even want to imagine what that would look like for $50k, oof.

We had 60 guests and it cost over $50k. And we got married in a place that’s “cheaper” than bigger US cities.
