My 2 cats had babies a week apart and the one did this constantly. She even tried taking the other mom by the scruff when she had collected all the kittens, lol

Yeah, if you have a clowder of cats then all nursing females will take turns feeding and looking after the kittens. Cats are the definitive "It's takes a village"

Some cats do similar things like lionesses. If both had a litter they tend to sometimes do this and raise them together like a little community. As long as you know and monitor that both cats are not hurting the lil ones this typically is fine. My three cats I had each had litters a month apart and did this as well it was like they were taking mom shifts to the kittens.

Cats are the definition of it takes a village, if u have two female cats who are friends and they have kittens at staggered times they’ll babysit for each other it’s really cute
