I’ve lived here for 12 yrs coming from Houston. I think the spurs are good with what they got. What SA is really missing is an actual MLB team. Baseball is big here and it would be awesome to have a real MLB team

Do not threaten us. If the man who owns the spurs wants to take his ball and go home, he can take his ball and go home. I really don’t think our community is only afloat by his good grace. Holding us hostage and telling us to build you another house with more empty promises of foreseeable revenue is bull. H-E-B the number one employer in Texas just built a tech hub in Austin. Austin has not a single team or major arena. That man that owns the spurs is just gonna have to chill in the AT&T center or whatever it’s called now till we can get some true high paying jobs in San Antonio. And if he can’t wait, he can build it himself. Hell another Henry B convention center would be worth more. The center currently pulls in way more money than the arena. Someone fact, check me on that. I would also like us to keep in mind. The Spurs is not the Spurs. It’s a man, just a man who wants other people to pay his bills. Long story short, if we’re gonna be hanging handing out billions of dollars to privately own companies, we may want to consider the ones with the track record of actually hiring for high paying jobs. Last note, mayor should call for vote solely for at minimum a 45 day independent review of the current report.

This will be huge for the city! Taxpayers will not have to foot the bill on project marvel. The economic impact will also continue to pay off for years to come. Plus the entertainment potential will increase in and around downtown and make fun for everyone Go Spurs Go
