I noticed this. Yt ppl will call their aunties “my mom sisters”. Or cousins “ my dad’s brother’s kids” like that’s VERY weird in black culture. Even our non blood friends are our sisters/brothers and cousins ect.

This fact further exemplifies white people's jealousy of Black Americans despite resources that Blacks were forcibly deprived of during antebellum slavery and Jim Crow Era.

I think that growing up in black communities middle class working class they liked doing things, orderly and organizing and with community involving block parties street parties canteen parties, different types of things in summer different things in winter events black women knew how to do that Hispanic women knew how to do that they got along they were family orientedand they like they all had a part and there was no competition, no envy no jealousy none of that it was fun getting it done and having fun together.

I grew up aware of it, but for me it was more like I just felt really uncool in comparison.

Do no jealousy was just being commutable having community events in the summer in the winter. It was just wonderful. I remember things being planned now I think about how those women work together there’s plenty of food. It was music. It was contest. They were everything and nobody was trying to over show anyone it was just nice. It was really nice. I think black women in Hispanic women and other ethnic women are more like that😬
