I had a complex tear in both of my meniscus and on top of that chondromalacia which is wearing of the cartilage under the knee cap. had a partial meniscectomy on both meniscus and a debridement for the chondromalacia. 7 weeks since the surgery and I am getting better everyday.

I had a meniscus meniscectomy 10 days ago. From the moment I woke up until today I haven’t had any pain. I walk normally, though I still have a little trouble with stairs. I’m very pleased. I thought it would be more painful and that recovery would take longer.

I've had two repairs, I had no success. one led to a unilateral knee replacement. a year later the uni failed. I tore the other miniscus so had a revision surgery with total TKR at the daytime had a miniscus surgery. bad Idea. I'm three months post both ops. am battling with the miniscus recovery than the TKR. I can hardly walk and getting up from sitting is the worst pain. I am so down. I am having physio but everything is too sore and tired of not living a full life.

I had my meniscus removed and started walking after 8 months, but sometimes my knee still locks up and I walk like a drunk person.

I had a Minskos surgery in the left knee a week ago. Waiting for me a very long recovery. 3 weeks I must not tread on the foot. 6 weeks I should be with T - Scop on foot 4 months I am not allowed to run and in 6 months after full recovery I can do leg training in gym

I assume it depends how much damage. I think saving as much as you can is best if too much is damage. if little damage then remove it
