hoverfly! I grew up calling them sweat bees but it might be a regional difference.

hoverflies or sweat bees, depending on where you are. they look like a bee that can sting you, but these little guys are harmless. they'll follow you around, maybe get in your face a little, but they don't have any scary buzz while they fly and when they do land on you, they're more likely to eat/drink the sweat off of you! It literally kinda feels like it's giving you little kisses 😘

people typically call them sweat bees, but they're not bees. also. they don't bite or sting, but you might feel them licking/sucking sweat off you
