People would say why didn’t you leave right away but I have been in situations like that and it takes a minute to react. We don’t want to escalate or get into an argument so we comply and start planning our exit strategy. The important part is to learn and not do it again. I am sure there were red flags in the conversation even before you showed up to the date. There was this guy that while he was asking me out, he was canculating a place where we had to drive the same distance. He was really fixated in 50/50 in everything and the date was awful.
