It doesn’t bother me as long as it’s done right. You can have Frodo as a small cameo where Gandalf is telling him the story of searching for Gollum. I did take it that Gandalf was a big part of that story though. I need to go back and re-read it

Maybe Frodo will be at the beginning when Gandalf starts to be suspicious about the ring 🤔 can't really think of any other place he could be in the story.

Aragorn did the hunting so Viggo better be back, somehow looking younger than in LOTR. Not sure what Frodo will be doing other than procrastinating in The Shire

I could not want this less. LOTR is getting turned into Star Wars. If they want to make new stories in middle earth that's one thing, another botched adaptation of a part of the books is not needed. we don't need multiple movies about the hunt for gollum that ends with elves falling asleep on guard duty
