@brutamerica: New Gallup polling shows Gen Z is the least likely generation to prefer fully remote jobs, citing rising loneliness and limited in-office connection among hybrid workers as key factors. #gallup #genz #loneliness #remotework Photo credits: Pexels
They def made this to justify return to office. GEN Z DOES NOT WANT IN PERSON

Gen Z are likely mostly living in apartments with roommates, and do not have great WFH setups. Older generations have houses and home offices, plus kids and other responsibilities.

Actually, people want freedom of choice. They want to be able to decide when to go in office vs work from home. They do not want to be dictated to. Some people want 5 days in office. Some people want 0 days in office. Some people want to go in office occasionally for important meetings or events.

bruh is this a psyop, I'm a gen z remote worker and remote work is the most liberating thing to happen in the workplace in generations. and it was all because companies were pressured to remain productive during covid. Do not give greedy employers the advantage back. Fight for remote work and be stubborn about returning to office. If they won't give higher wages, the least they can give is easier work.

Did this poll come from “anonymous survey” results where you have to enter an employee ID number to gain access?

I think, coming as a gen Zer that works one month remote and 11 months fully in person is that:
-Older generations already have families meanwhile the oldest gen Zers are 28... which means that most don't have kids since kids are very expensive.
- a lot of us did 1-3 school years online. Most of us in the workforce found out that, that type of work isn't optimal

Fully remote worker here: I used to work at a full time in office job and I craved to WFH badly. The 30 minute commutes was getting to me. When I eventually found a WFH job it literally saved me so much $$$ on gas, and it prompted me to cook meals more instead of getting take out during lunch break. I can do laundry and other household needs. After a while I do miss in person interaction but the pros of WFH definitely outweigh the cons. The biggest con is it’s going to be harder to move up within your company if some ppl are remote or in office.

It’s interesting that Gen Z values in-person connections more than expected. Loneliness and lack of collaboration seem to be driving the shift away from remote work for this generation.

They were barely in the workforce before Covid hit so they barely knew how to do their jobs before everyone went remote. As a millennial, please gen z go ahead and go in to work and save the remote jobs for the rest of us. Enjoy the commute

Give it a couple years and they’ll want to be remote. I cherish no traffic, waking early to get ready, mindless office chatter. And most importantly a good work life balance.

I have a dedicated office and so does my wife. My 25 year coworker lives at home and works from her bedroom desk. She is constantly interrupted by parents/siblings and goes to the office to focus. Many gen z workers have similar issues.
