It was Phee’s exit interview. It is meant to be about the season that was. If Phee had waited until later, it would have been easier for the WNBA and the NBA to, once again, ignore it. Barely or not acknowledge, make excuses, do nothing. The arrogance in the statements she shared for Cathy is damning and shows EXACTLY how much she doesn’t give a damn, and it is absolutely a reflection of how the leadership feels. Phee captured the moment when this needed to be said, and the statement was perfection. The players tried being nice, tried being patient, tried being fair. They were ignored. The WNBA and the NBA, through 1000 small cuts and some big ones (what they are doing to the Mohegan Tribe is shameful), is now in the Find Out stage of FAFO. This was so preventable, but here we are.
