Korra season 3 is the best in the franchise. Mako is stronger than Bolin. Aang's avatar state is only scary when he's getting possessed by past lives because he's not in control which would apply to every avatar hypothetically so that doesn't count. Korra went through astronomically way more than aang and it genuinely shouldn't be a conversation

aang went through more loss than korra (losing his entire family and culture, almost dying) but korra went through more than aang in general (getting kidnapped, poisoned, losing her bending due to amon, losing her past lives, being paralyzed, getting ptsd, trying to save the world and being named “destroyer of humanity”, “worst avatar”.)

aang had more than one opportunity to 💀 ozai, he chose not to. by the time he started energy bending he literally had ozai on his knees with his hands and feet bound to the ground.
