Even though I have passive beef with my parents, they wouldn’t listen to James Dobson. They tried to a little bit, but they couldn’t stand him.

Grew up Pentecostal Church of God and while we didn't believe baptism and tongues were NECESSARY for salvation, they were extremely important. I listened exclusively to Family Life Radio (his radio station) and...lemme just say I'm not sad to see him go at all. In fact, had myself a PSL for the ✨️grief ✨️

Nazarene preacher’s daughter here 🤚 I can attest that myself (and many others) underwent extreme abuse in the home because of his teachings. No one around would help because they believed it too. It was extra bad for those of us girls were “strong willed.” Nothing like daily beatings and shame in the name of Holiness. 🙏
