"not for profit" is the solution to many such issues, not just this one, but lobbying+greed always wins. Banning lobbying would solve a lot, but just won't happen.

My wife works for the VA, has blue cross. Whenever I go to the va, I’m 100%, they bill my wife’s insurance. Why? 🤦♂️

As a VA worker thank you for this. The healthcare professionals are some of the best in their field. Many Universities are affiliates with their local VA’s as well. Which helps us provide some of the best research of clinical trials/robotics/prosthetics to veterans.

Tricare keeps denying my bills. At this point, my primary care won’t let me come back because they haven’t been paid and I’m over $80k in debt. I’m retired, my husband is retired and we pay our premiums, I don’t know why this is happening. I can’t be the only one, I believe it’s on purpose. We are veterans, everyone says they care, but no one actually does.

It's an example of a public service that works. It doesn't fit the narrative, so they have to break it to be able to say, "Look! It doesn't work!" They've been trying to do the same thing to the Postal Service for 20 years.

My master’s is in Health Administration. I have turned down a lot of opportunities because I’ll never work for these insurance companies. My brothers are Marines, and I’m stressed about what the Republicans are about to do to theirs and yours’ healthcare.

In my opinion, this is why we need universal healthcare if we have universal healthcare we can divide it up into categories such as specific needs for VA specific needs for abused women needs for abused children, etc.
