In Korea, because of hygiene concerns, we can’t touch other people’s babies. It’s gotten even stricter after the pandemic. We also love babies, but often just pretend not to notice and pass by. That’s why letting them hold the baby must have made them so happy.🥲

I live in Korea and I can say. They do love babies! specially foreigners babies because they look different. I have met very friendly and welcoming Koreans in my time here but also encounter discrimination towards foreigners.

한국에 성차별, 인종차별이 존재하는 건 사실이지만, 그게 다른 나라보다 심하다고 보기는 어려울 거 같아요. 외국생활도 해 보았지만 나라마다 역사, 문화가 다르고 차별이 없는 나라는 없어요. 유럽, 미국도 보이지 않는 차별이 있어요. 법이 금지할 뿐이죠. 한국도 마찬가지예요. 아직도 지구상에 명예살인이 존재하는데 한국이 제일 위험한 나라라니요?
