I usually didn't recommend sunnies to beginners as honestly the eye protection from goggles is really handy when you're falling a lot (but thats just my take)

If you’re in the UK, Aldi’s ski gear is pretty decent. A full set (base layer top and bottom, gloves, goggles, socks, jacket and trousers) cost £60. Basic looking but amazing quality for the price and did me a whole season while I waited to see if I liked skiing and for the sales! (Still decent gear to use on dry slopes and in Scotland where it’s quite rocky so you don’t damage the expensive stuff!)

when I didn't have snowboota that fitted i just wore my Nike dunks around town and my feet stayed dry- having said that I do have good balance though so idk if it would be too slippy

After three pairs of exp merino ski socks I’ve come to the conclusion I’m allergic to merino socks- tiny blisters, itching and bleeding. 😵💫
