Parvati created Ganesha "mind" but he could not recognize Sat Chit Ananda, even if mind comes from Shakti it blocked moksa, unity of Shiva and Shakti, so that mind was destroyed/changed, but due to kindness it appeared anew this time realizing and accepting truth.By destroying false ego, ignorance, mind remembers truth.
