After they did the entire street? That’s not something to brag about. The builder was so lazy that they let an incompetent contractor complete multiple houses before they caught faulty work. That still 100% on the builder.

I honestly don’t understand why stucco is even used. It’s one of the worst forms of protection for any home, especially that style. The foam back style is complete junk. I don’t care what brand it is.

honest question I'm not from the southwest nor have I live there.. I've lived Midwest Northeast Southeast . Why you stucco so popular Is it simply because of how cheap it is? cosmetic? What other forms of exterior not hold up in the heat? cement board,viny, brick etc?

You saw my vid on how the code applies here. It is very clear that intent is to be watertight - this means the enclosure and connections to other pieces the make up the enclosure. Really seems like an issue of handling and installation after delivery.
