The main difference between 3/4 and 6/8 is that you have 3 strong beats in 3/4 and 2 strong beats in 6/8. So when you count 1 & 2 & 3 & in 3/4 you pur accents on the 1, 2 and 3. In 6/8 you count every eight note 1 2 3 4 5 6 and pur accents on the 1st and 4th eight note.
