Without oversharing, make yourself likable to the bosses. Make them feel like they’re your friend, but they aren’t. They don’t promote based off the job you do. They promote based off who they like and made a good impression on them. Also, if anything bad happens, go straight to hr. Create a paper trail

Be very careful who you trust because one wrong thing said to the wrong person has consequences. Also, if you see a problem that you have ideas on how to fix, no you don’t. Insecure managers hate that and will target you.
