do you need to mill the sight down? I tried getting some brass punches to knock mine into place and couldn't do it. called a gunsmith and he said they requiring milling and will do it for a price. Spartan fiber optics on a Baretta APX for reference

I put new tritium night sights on my handgun, I used brass punches and a caliper and I was .01mm off because the sight is an off mm and the slide is an even millimeter (mm) , but I still notice I’m shooting to the left low or high. Maybe I’m a hair off? Or what?
