I am a teen and I get tired and lightheaded very quickly so most of the time at home I am in my bed lying down or sitting in a chair, occasionally I will be jumping on my trampoline but I dont do it for long and I usually end up sitting on it before getting off and having to lay down for a while, I only have a single knee brace as a mobility aid as I have not been diagnosed with anything but I am trying to pressure my mom into getting me a doctor's appointment so that I can figure out what is wrong with me and what I need, my classmates and teachers understand that often it is tiring for me to get up and sit back down over and over and yet I still have to do it for school, I also have to climb stairs that make me extremely tired after I get to the top. that is just my experience, but mobility aids are for the people using them the person using them does not need to explain themselves to others

I would never consider going anywhere without my glasses. If they broke/became unusable, I can still make things out enough to navigate my way home or wherever, but I cant imagine denying myself the ability to see clearly and easily just because its *possible* to go without.

I use glasses because I get headaches when I don’t not because I can’t see well. Kinda like how some people will use a wheelchair to help with things like fainting and collapsing not necessarily because their legs don’t work
