@goodboybeanie: I’ve never felt so guilty for leaving the house 🥺 Beanie has separation anxiety, he can’t settle himself or fall asleep when we leave and is constantly on alert, but we didn’t realise he was howling (or even knew how to howl) until we saw this on our camera. If you have any tips on how to ease his separation anxiety please let me know 🤍 #howl #velcrodog #cockerspaniel #separationanxiety

As someone who has a cockerspaniel and went through this exact thing. It gets better! before you leave, BIG WALK, BIG SNIFFS. Prep snuffle mats, spread kibble outside, a frozen kong with yogurt ect. When you leave don’t say goodbye, if possible try make it so they are busy when you leave. When you arrive home. Don’t say hello at the first moment. Wait until pup is calm

Try leaving alone in smaller steps ;) only secounds. come Back, BEVORE crying. some slow music (maybe also everytime you're there and he's relaxed) and after some weeks It'll BE OK :)

Aww. My springer was the same when he was young, but we trained him gradually to get used to being alone for short periods and now he doesn't care at all 😂

crate training! we can put our 11 month old cocker spaniel in at any point in the day, for naps or otherwise and he LOVES it, it's like having his own bedroom, we pop a cover on it and he feels really safe in there 🥰

Aww sweet baby 🥺. I’m a professional dog walker, if it’s something you can afford I would highly suggest getting a sitter for home visits or for a dog walker ❤️

Long lasting treats (stuffed and frozen kongs), TV with calming music (my dog watches fish livestreams with calming videos lol) & supplementing calming herbal blends 💗 Make sure he’s exercised & tired before you leave as well 😊
