I’m going through the publishing process right now and OMG it’s so rigorous. Even better, the study we’re publishing was funded by a pharmaceutical company and our results show the exact opposite of what the company was hoping for.

As much as pharma makes, pharma also looses a lot of money when the trial shows the drug doesn’t work especially in comparison to drugs already on the market. CADTH, FDA, NICE, etc doesn’t care how much money you put in if the results don’t show better efficacy.

Which is exactly why that paper that stated the MMR vaccine caused autism was retracted. Unfortunately that paper gained so much traction that fraudulent data has spread too far before the retraction. That paper is still causing a problem today.
