As I’m listening to this, I’m seriously in the process of throwing away everything and starting over I just threw away probably like 60 pairs of shoes and I’m with you. I’m just doing a capsule wardrobe. I’m just doing basics that I can make into a lot of different outfits all like really quality pieces. I think it’s better to have less items that are mix and match and that are quality than a whole bunch of things that I bought because it was on clearanceso I’m just doing very basics black blazer khaki blazer white linen top you know black loafers tan loafers things like that

This is SOOOO ON PAR w my experience. THANK YOU! Thank you! You help me be ok w having this need to purge “ every thing I own in my closet.” my closet is basically a small room. It’s actually not even that small. It’s weighing me down. I have no interest in shopping at all and I used to all the time. I really felt this post- needed to hear it. Thank you.

I have gotten better with my shopping addiction (ADHD and now medicated), but my problem is that my favorite clothing items are sweat sets, sweatshirts and sweaters and so I have way too many, but have already given up the ones I was ok parting with and still have a ton.

I have 3 daughters and when we would go shopping I would tell them in order for me to buy something they had to be “In love with It” bc I was tired of buying clothing they hardly wore.

I think we all go through this problem, I’ve donated new clothes that I’ve had for months or years. I buy them and then wait for the perfect time to wear it and then a year later it’s still there, I just wear the same things🙃
