i tried explaining to a die hard texan asking “then why are Californians moving here” because its cheaper bro, that’s it, that’s the only reason, its not the food, scenery quality of life or because its nicer, No, it’s because TX is more affordable than CA and lots of Californians can’t afford CA. Not realizing you give a lot of things up in exchange for that affordability.

I moved from Texas to a coastal city in Oregon...wish I did it sooner. Im not TRAPPED BY AC anymore. It's August and it's 68 degrees outside at 2PM...I can do whatever I want outside. No heat or humidity, it's freedom.

I am a native Texan. I was born and raised in TX and yes it’s boring, hot, ghetto people like crazy. I’ve visited California, Colorado, New York, Florida, Georgia. But if I could afford California or New York… I’d move out of TX in a heartbeat.

Facts! Having so much family in TX for generations, the ones that actually moved and lived in another state NEVER move back. Visit but not live. A job told me I had to move to San Antonio or lose my job. No brainer, would rather be broke than live there. Woke means, benefits, good medical care, good free schools, clean water, basic rights etc. I go visit family, have a good time then bounce, but it’s so much worse now I don’t even want to visit. I hope the actual good people there can take their state back.

You’re not a true Texan…..and that’s ok. True Texan look at you and others from other states as intruders to our culture. We are not California or Colorado. Those are blue states that have a totally different culture than Texas. So to be honest most Texans wish you well because we don’t want our state to become blue. We’re perfectly happy with our red state.

Majority of the people that brag about Texas have never stepped out of the state. Texas has been the worst. It has some nice spots and nice people but definitely not a place to stay. After my contract I'm leaving.
