Cats on dry only diets have a 2.64 times higher risk of developing feline lower urinary tract disease due to crystal formation. It is good to listen to vets but it never hurts to do your own research our cats are worth it.

and it’s always just so strange because my vet, who has spent years and hundreds of thousands of dollars on their education to help animals, has no problem with dry Hills! because, you know, they’re “getting commission” to say that… as if the cat food influencers aren’t getting paid to add a hundred different supplements into their tiki cat.

I think people don't understand that cats are weird and also don't do anything if they don't want to. Therefore not every cat will be able to eat a mixed diet but as long as u do what u can to give them the nutrients they need who cares what form its in lol.

my cats only eat one specific dry food (one pukes up anything else) but are constipated, any tips? they have a water fountain and i tried some ”soup” from the vet but the didn’t like ut :/

i work in a vet hospital: not the end of the world if you’re finding ways to hydrate, but a lot of the time vets are funded to push certain foods. Hills lobbied for us to prescribe only their food by giving us a new kitchen, which is primarily their dry food. Not saying vets are evil and don’t take your pets care into consideration, but just be cautious 🩷

Blockages in cats are caused by the males urethra to be too small. Yes make sure your cats are drinking water but ask your vet what THEY recommend for YOURRR specific cat like this creator has done.
