@ashley.marryriv7: Today… My worse nightmare became my reality.. Melony was diagnosed with RCM (Restrictive cardiomyopathy) and she was also diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension at 5 years old.. You know sometimes we really do take things for granted.. I keep wishing we were back home.. wishing I was still in the kitchen cooking.. while Melony runs around with her brother and sister.. I wish things were back to normal how they were 8 days ago.. our lives may never be the same here going forward.. They told me my baby needs a VAD ( a Ventricular Assist Device) a mechanical pump to help a weakened heart pump blood to the rest of the body.. Until she is equipped for a heart transplant.. Even then that is still a process.. We still have to find a match for my baby.. I cried.. I yelled.. but I have to be strong for my baby.. Mommy and daddy are ready for the journey.. 🙏💔 I want to thank everyone who said a prayer for Melony.. I want to thank everyone who reached out to us.. I just want everyone to hug on your babies tonight.. kiss them up.. bc life is so unpredictable.. I would have never in a million years predicted that we would be going through this.. 🥺 But we are here and Melony is a fighter, she is so brave, she is so strong.. and with the grace of God I’m glad that we did find a little light.. my baby has a second chance to live a long life.. with the proper treatment and care and with the amazing team here at CHOP ..
