If you can't afford that toy, go to the dollar store and get art supplies. Get glue, glitters, glitter glue, lots of stickers, markers, a poster board, etc. Tell the kid were going to make a poster for their parents and leave them to work. You'll have less to do, the kids will have fun, and you'll leave a gift for the parent. If you still want to be friends with these people, clean up as best you can, but the glitter will still do its job.
