I just hate that Ms. has just basically replaced Miss in being seen as designating an unmarried woman when the whole intention when it gained popularity during second wave feminism was for it to be the same as Mr. and work for any woman regardless of her marital status

I am very newly married (like, less than a week) but I didn't change my last name and would still pick "Mrs." over Ms.! It never occurred to me that I wouldn't.

Growing up I had a ton of friends who’s moms kept their last name. They all were Mrs. to us. Except my mom, who was always Dr. Lastname because she earned that PhD
