Im the second wife of a widower, so I know my husband will move on eventually. But I told him if he didn't have a portrait of me made and had him and the children weep at it every day for 1 hour, then he wasnt allowed to move on and I would haunt him.

My husband asked me that a month into our marriage and we had only been dating 3 months when we married (listen when you know you know) and I was like “I mean if you died like in a year, yeah probably” and he was SO shocked and hurt because he’s Hindu and they believe in one marriage and not remarrying after and he just assumed that was a given and I felt soooo bad. Even now I’m like “ok if I die you have to remarry because who will help with our daughter while you work?” And he’s still ADAMANT he will NEVER remarry so I’ve just had to make my best friend (another teacher) her god mother to come help him raise her platonically lmao
