I moved my daughter out after 2 days cause her roommate wanted the room dark at all times and she would lay in the bed and not go to class and would yell at my daughter for wanting some light in the room.. we got my baby a single cause no maam.

I feel like dorm rooms should be single rooms. No one should have to share space for as much as it costs to go to College.

did the same thing when I was in college..Actually 3 out of 4 of us did... all bc 1 threatened to stab us with knives and also licked all the forks and spoons and gave us mono... almost had to drop out bc I was so sick. Turns out she was off her meds.

Im In Australia this is such a bizarre concept to me. We dont go to college we go to uni, usually partially online or on campus a few days a week! I could never send my kid off to share a room with a random person ever

I had a crazy roommate too. My room mate had the same friends I had and she was so annoying because people would call me her name and sometimes call her my name:/ She would also try to go home with me every weekend. I told her I’m pretty sure my parents wanted to spend quality time with me only!! . I would tell my mother and dad I should not have to bring her with me all the time. But my parents told me to stop treating my twin sister like I don’t know her😂

My roommate first year changed rooms literally the second day and I have no idea why. Like I didn’t even say anything to her except for my name and major. So I had a room to myself all throughout my freshman year, it was great!

My dad came back 4 days later to move me out of my and into a new one. My roommate was Uber Christian and I'm Jewish. She would blast my god is an awesome god all night and would leave me notes how I was going to hell.

Putting two strangers in a small room to love together is such an insane concept. Especially when you’ve not lived with anyone but your family before. I’ll never understand it.

My daughter’s first room mate was a witch and told her she could feel the evil in her and tried to convert her. Wanna know how long that situation lasted. Long enough for mom to get to the dorm moms office cause that was not going to be how my daughter’s experience was going to be. We found out later they had to get her off campus because she was um causing all kinds of issues for students

I had to move out also. My roommate would destroy my room and my stuff, and she would put her mattress in front of the door so I couldn't get in. Slept in my car a bunch of times before I finally was able to get moved.

So sad…stuff like this has been happening for years. This is why I paid extra for my son to have his own room. As a matter of fact, my daughter only decided to attend her current university based on single occupancy rooms.

I graduated 8 years ago and I had to do this THREE times in college. The thrift time I got threatened with a g*n. So I left in the middle of the night and switched to online college.

it happened to me 2 times, I am always getting ageism & meaner roommate all the time. csulb does not give me a correct roommate. now, I do not have dorm room because these students at csulb are ageism

My cousins roommate let her BF spend the night. She woke up to them having relations. My cousin told her he wasn't to spend the night again. BF threatened my cousin campus police were called. He wasn't allowed on campus after that. Roommate started spending the night off campus. Her parents were waiting for my cousin accusing her of being racists. RA explained that daughter had allowed BF to stay the night and BF was no allowed because he wasn't a student there and he threatened my cousin. Parents packed their daughters things and left.
