@julietteamie: Anybody know anything about Bayview? Why do they have their own flags and all these pretty lanterns on their houses!? It was so beautiful. If you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know I LOVE visiting towns/neighborhoods & walking around so recommendations are always welcome🥰 #michigan #britinamerica #lifeinamerica #movingtoamerica #petoskey
People just don’t think of Michigan beyond Detroit and Flint. I don’t actually mind how underrated we are. It keeps it from getting too crowded.

You should make your way south down the Lake Michigan Shore. There are so many towns to explore that are all unique in their own way.

Have you checked out the upper peninsula? Pictured Rocks is a must see - either via kayak or boat from Munising. Keweenaw Peninsula is also fantastic. The agate beach in Copper Harbor is incredible. Agree with what others have said about Lake Michigan beaches - they keep getting nicer as you head further south.

Alpena has the same beautiful homes across from Lake Huron. Those beautiful homes were the summer homes of robber barons at the turn of the 20th century.

Lower peninsula is great, but if you go to the UP (pictured rocks to Keweenaw Peninsula) you’ll see the most beautiful place on the planet, period. Just go before it gets too cold.

It’s technically a homeowners association neighborhood as a housekeeper I’ve cleaned several houses there there are strict rules in order to keep the house is historical. This is my hometown.

in college I worked for a moving company & we had a big job out there in one of the most massive lakeside colonial style homes. the inside is just as fabulous as you can imagine. massive paintings of family patriarchs, antiques, etc.

There are many wealthy folks around this area, especially around the water. It’s very nice. The people are very warm and welcoming.
