i bought this for my daughters, yes it definitely cuts down time to 1/2 but the steam can burn ur scalp so be careful with the angle. and it doesn't work against humidity.

My friend did my hair with it and she went back in with the flatiron just in case and when I say I’m impressed! I got my hair done on feb 7th it’s starting to puff around this week which is Normal due to sweating. I need to get me one. One thing I gotta say IT GETS HOT!!! She hurt my scalp like twice but the hair was bone straight!

I have it and love it, despite the ‘steam’ option is literally a bare puff of steam. The heated plates straighten your hair, not the steam.
