I’m a veteran and I kinda feel bad for the guy. Stolen valor is absolutely not ok, but I’ve got empathy for the guy. I’m sure he has a difficult life and it’s not my place to judge his mistakes. I’m hopeful he will have some character growth from this though.

This is a tough one because he clearly is in need of assistance. It’s not like he folds up his sign and jumps in an expensive car at the end of the day. He was wrong for lying but desperate people do desperate things to survive. He never knew that she started a GoFundMe so she should have just kept that to herself and refunded the money if that’s what she felt was the best way to handle it. I would probably have still helped him in someway. No one is

Great that you wanted to help out a Veteran. Recommend doing your research first. Find another Veteran or donate it to an American Legion, American Legion Riders or a VFW organization. There are some Veteran Organizations that ride motorcycles.

i believe lying about being a vet and being deceitful is wrong, yes. but the man has no legs and is struggling to survive. mistakes don’t make people any less worthy of help especially when they desperately need it..

We all lie about something. I guess she as never told a lie. I’ve been homeless before when I was a young teen. I would ask people for a dollar or too just to get me something to eat, I never told a lie when I asked for money but luckily for me I had both my legs to work when they would ask me if I was willing to work for it. I don’t think any less your you or her!🤗♥️
