It’s the same with another work by this author, The Sword of Kaigen. There’s so many subpar drawn out trilogies and yet ML Wang writes these amazing stories that are only a single book?! 😩

I just finished this and it was a 6+++ star book for me! I can't believe this even made it only the list 👀👀 it absolutely has to be a treasure! I think anyone that didn't enjoy it are maybe just not that into the dark Academia style writing. It's not very action packed but is so deep!
