Leftist who voted for Kamala here. I understand that Trump is a unique situation and it would be idiotic to be idle in these elections. But let's not pretend the election was anything but a hostage situation. It's like having a gun held to your head. Kampala was definitely the better option, but if democrats don't start giving real policies and their messaging doesn't shift from "blue no matter who", nobody will be enthusiastic to turn out and we will just sleep walk our way into another Trump like candidate that is younger and more intelligent. Demanding policies from your party that are enticing is not wrong. Support populist left ideas (which basically boils down to tax the rich and support programs that help the poor and working class) and you will have overwhelming support.
