You are completely wrong and are confusing democracy with rights. We have democratically elected governments and the freedom to choose our elected officials. Hence we don't live in a dictatorship. Established rights are not the same as democracy (or dictatorship). Our charter of rights. Also includes basic responsibilities. Simply put. We have the right and freedom to do whatever we want. Within reason. We have those rights and freedoms as long as it doesn't harm anyone. We have to work within boundaries... Laws... that protect others from eachother. But by your definition. We should have the right to do whatever we want. Without consequences. You are saying that murder is a right. That harming others by personal decisions. Is a right. That's where you are wrong. During the pandemic. The government limited some of our rights. Temporarily. Because we do not have the rights or freedoms to harm others. That's how it's always been and that is how a democratic society works. Because we vote for the people who look out for our best interests overall. As a society.
