Baba Musa was a very friendly, jovial and approachable man. He was widely regarded as one of the leading figures among the old generation of Sokoto musicians, particularly those known for Bege and Mandiri music. His contribution to Hausa Islamic music and the cultural heritage of Sokoto will remain a significant part of the memories of those who listened to and appreciated his work.
