Unlike when I got my first Avalon miner back in 2014, Bitcoin mining is so competitive now the payback cycle is not worth it unless you are running an industrial scale operation. That’s where leveraged investments offer a more capital efficient write off strategy - 20% downpayment on a real estate for example against 100% for bitcoin mining or oil/gas investment. Buying liabilities like cars was never an option.
