Prophet Mohammed has been fasting every Monday and Thursday not as obligation as fasting during the month of Ramadhan but as Sunna for his obidience to the Creator. Many Muslims do the same. Soon science will also confirm why Monday and Thursday and not on other days of the week. Time wil tell.
