@toonmechanic: Why do speedometers show a higher top speed than reality? | FOLLOW @TOONMECHANIC 🔥 #TOONMECHANIC #topspeed #carspeedometer #topspeedpov Have you ever looked at a car's speedometer to see its top speed?

Joking :

Why did you stop posting?

ZombieGarageDesigns :

Another reason is the offset of the speedometer. The real top speed may be 200kph but the speedometer may have 15kph offset at that speed, so they have to add 20 extra kph at least and make it 220 at least

Leo2000 :

My 2014 BMW 435i N55 has done 260km/h fully stock and the speedometer only goes to 260km/k and my previous car 2015 Audi A5 sportback 2.0 TFSI Quattro Stronic 165kw did 275km/h but the speedometer stops at 280km/h 😂😂
