@dn.sees: 📍 Kimura 1017 N Flores St, San Antonio, TX 78212 I visited Kimura for the first time. Patrons must order at the counter and be given a number to place onto your table. I was able to choose my table, I’m not sure if that is always the case during peak hours. Appetizer: I ordered the onigiri which comes with 3. These are rice balls filled with smoked mackerel, tossed with furikake, and tucked into a sheet of nori. It does not have an abundance of filling, but to me that is perfect since it is an appetizer. The presentation made it even more enjoyable. I loved these, 5 ⭐️. Main Course: I ordered the shoyu ramen without the grilled koji chicken (I do regret asking for no chicken). My go to is always shoyu ramen and so far I would say this is top 3 ramen in San Antonio. The mushrooms were bursting with flavor, it tasted as though they marinated the mushrooms beforehand.
